Who We Are and What We Do - Part 3
Stuart Building 238
Monday, October 3rd, 2011
12:45PM - 1:45PM
Undergrads and first and second-year graduate students: Are you interested in working with computer science faculty on their research? Find out what we're doing by coming to the "Who We Are and What We Do" talks scheduled for Wed Sep 28, Thur Sep 29, Mon Oct 3, Tue Oct 4, and Wed Oct 5. Talks will be in Stuart Building (room 238) with remote live viewing on IIT/V (channel 405). The seminar will be recorded and posted online.
Each talk will be broken up into four sessions. Researchers have 15 minutes each to give a bird's eye view of their work. Come to one talk or stay for the whole session. Either way, be prepared to be surprised at the range of innovative, thought-provoking work being done in computer science at IIT.
If you can't wait or can't attend, check out last year's talks at IIT's YouTube channel.
The schedule for today's talks are:
- 12:45PM: Dr. Shangping Ren (Distributed Systems, Real-Time Embedded Systems, and Cyber-Physical Systems)
- 1:00PM: Dr. Mattox Beckman (Variables and Cycles in Programming Languages)
- 1:15PM: Dr. Peng-Jun Wan (TBA)
- 1:30PM: Dr. Edward Reingold (Combinatorial Pursuits)
Light refreshments will be served.
