The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington
State University is hiring one or more Assistant Research Professors of
Computer Science to work on power grid data delivery issues. A PhD in
computer science is required, with an applied distributed systems
background. This research will involve the GridStat
project<http://www.gridstat.net/>at WSU, the world leader in
next-generation wide-area data delivery for the
power grid. It will involve significant collaborations with industry
(McAfee, Intel, others), universities (Cornell, UIUC, others), and national
energy labs (PNNL and others). Pay is extremely competitive and the
position is in a small college town with high quality of life yet low cost
of living. The initial appointment would be for one year and renewable,
contingent upon performance and funding.
For more information on this opportunity, Pullman, WSU, etc., see
http://gridstat.net/staffing. Please do NOT apply by reply email to me,
submit per the web site's instructions.

paper not accessible).
